Lochaber Mountain Rescue team is Scotland's busiest team, often carrying out more than 150 rescues a year. Run entirely by volunteers we rely on your generous donations to allow us to help those in need.

Story

For many years, Steve had been a fundraiser for a variety of charities helping to raise thousands of pounds by participating in marathons, fell walking endurance events and even singing in a band. Some of those charities included Make-a-Wish, Inspire, Children with Leukaemia, Whizz-Kidz and Cancer Research.

Steve loved being in the mountains spending many weekends fell walking in the Highlands, Western Isles and the Lake District, and had recently completed mountain leader training. Tragically, he died on 7th August 2015 following a fall from a ridge whilst descending Ben Nevis.  I would like to thank Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team for their assistance that day. I’m sure Steve would have supported raising funds for them.

Please give what you can. Your donations will help Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team to maintain and replace vital rescue equipment and clothing, and also allow them to provide regular team training. You can be assured that any money received will contribute towards their efforts to save lives.

Please donate rather than sending flowers. Thank you so much.
