The Nowzad charity delivers animal welfare in Afghanistan & Ukraine. Our clinic in Kabul delivers vital support to over worked horses & donkeys whilst providing care and treatment to injured cats & dogs. In Ukraine we are delivering vital aid to those in desperate need of animal supplies.

Story

On the 08th December 2017, I will take part in a Kabul Ultra endurance challenge with my good friend Chris Huxley. I will run a marathon followed by a 50km row, finishing with a 180km cycle (target 17 hours). Chris will row a grueling 200km (target 17 hours). All of this will be done at an altitude of 6000ft.

Asir's Mom Robyn will run a half marathon, row 25km and cycle 90km over a number of days during medical leave in Canada. Robyn will complete her task on the 08th December.

I recently met Nowzad founder Pen Farthing, and two of the Nowzad dogs (Asir and Toffee). I was amazed to hear about the great work Nowzad do in Afghanistan for homeless animals, some of which are injured and have suffered horrific abuse on the streets.

I fell in love with Asir and quickly adopted my three legged buddy. He now lives with me in Kabul and will live a happy life wherever we go after here.

Not long after adopting Asir, Chris fostered Nowzad dog Christopher (one of the Xmas pups).

Nowzad relies solely on donations to rescue, treat, look after and arrange adoptions for their many animals. Visit their website for more info and to view the animals and read about their journey http://www.nowzad.com/

If I could adopt all of the animals I would. Sadly I cannot, therefore I want to help raise money for this amazing organisation and their animals.

Please support us on this challenge by donating to Nowzad. It's a small charity with a big heart. The smallest donation can make a big difference.
