Story
As many of you may know we are back home in the UK at the moment during a particularly tough time caring for my wife Clare's father, David Waller, who has not only made a huge impression on her life, but mine too.
Having seen what a wonderful job the Sara Lee charity has done in supporting Dave through his courageous battle with Thymic Carcinoma and also supporting the family too I wanted to show my gratitude by taking up this challenge....
Which is to run up all 1504 steps and 309 meters to the top of Sydney Tower Eye. It's the same height as the Eiffel Tower and twice the height of the Sydney Opera House. I expect to sweat ALOT.
The Sara Lee Trust Fund is a registered charity that continues to improve the lives of people with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, and their families and carers.
Apart from a small, but important, grant the Trust is totally reliant on donations and fundraising activity. They have to raise £200,000 per year to fund their services and are very grateful for the generosity of local people, businesses, groups and charitable funders whose support enables them to provide essential services.
Every donation, no matter how large or small is really appreciated. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the Sara Lee Trust Fund. You can donate in pounds or dollars!
Thank you everyone that can contribute!
