We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

Stewart and Matt want to raise money for Mind, the leading mental health charity for England and Wales.

We decided to run for Mind after one of our friends suffered mental health issues. We have seen the devastating effect this can have on a person, their family and anyone close to them. We want to raise money to provide support for people going through the same experience.

We thought the least we could do was this half marathon. Matt is an old hand at these events, but Stewart is new to it.

Here's an explanation of what Mind does:

Mind campaigns vigorously to create a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all - a society where people with experience of mental distress are treated fairly, positively and with respect.

It uses both a local and national network. Through this network it works with around 250,000 people every year.It able to help people who experience all types of mental distress, and who may require help from one or more of our services.

People who experience mental distress are always at the very heart of our work. We listen and make sure their voices are heard by those who influence change. We demand higher standards in mental health care and challenge discrimination wherever it occurs.

With one in four people likely to experience a mental health problem every year it is critical that we raise awareness and promote good mental health for the benefit of all members of societ

Mind helps people take control of their mental health. We do this by providing high-quality information and advice, and campaigning to promote and protect good mental health for everyone.
