The work of the Salvation Army in Stockport is more than 90% in the hands of volunteers - mobilising and organising the volunteers and providing and expanding the facilities to carry out the various good works costs money.  Our annual running costs are met by the goodwill of our local members but we would like to add at least one paid youth worker costs in the order of £25,000 p.a.

We also need funds to develop our facilities - we have a first floor facility which we would like to use for a variety of community work but in particular to expand our children and youth activity, so badly needed in the Cheadle Heath area.  Capital costs required to bring the facilities up to standard are in the order of £100,000
