Story
On Saturday 25 October, our team of 20 runners (and 10 supporters) tackle the Marathon de Chablis in Burgundy, France.
In 2017, we pushed Keta in her wheelchair around the Marathon du Medoc which was the most amazing experience; Keta laughed and smiled the whole way round whilst generously sampling the red! We promised a return to a wine marathon as Hebe and Violet were too young back then - this year, they lead the Chablis charge supported by a fantastic group of friends.
Keta died on 27 January 2019 from Motor Neurone Disease. She was more than ready to go and retained her humour to the end. She is a legend, adored by us all.
Following Keta's diagnosis in 2014, our family and friends were determined that her courageous and smiling 5 year fight against this awful disease helped others impacted in the same way. We therefore participate regularly in events to raise money for MND research (still to find the cause, let alone a cure) and to support other families experiencing the same.
We would be extremely grateful for any donations.
Many thanks.
