Turn May Purple Painting Auction · 1 May 2018

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

As part of Stroke Association’s Make May Purple fundraising awareness month, I will donate my painting to the person who makes the highest donation by 31st May to my Make May Purple campaign.

I myself suffered a Stroke at 34 and have regained some use of my hand and arm back from art therapy which I learnt whilst in rehabilitation as an inpatient. I set up my Stroke of a Brush social media pages to showcase my artwork to inspire other survivors there is life after stroke and to raise awareness of strokes in general, strokes in younger people, the lack of support out there for stroke survivors, access to help and support, and to change the perceptions widely held by society about as I like to call it the different faces of stroke but most of all to help raise money for charity by auctioning off some of my work purely for stroke charities.

Please help us to turn May Purple and support stroke survivors via the Stroke Association.

The painting will be available to view in person at a few Stroke Association south west events so keep your eyes peeled and tag me on my Stroke of a Brush Instagram, Twitter or Facebook page with a picture and #makemaypurple if you if you see it!! Here's the links to tag me....
