Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My good friend Mick was diagnosed with MND in 2009 and as he deteriorated, the MNDA were an invaluable support, providing assistance with care and equipment that made everyday life for him and his family easier. He died on September 4th 2011 aged 53 after having MND for 2 and a half years. By the end, he had lost all use of his limbs and was unable to eat or speak. In his mind, he was fully aware of what was going on around him and what was happening to him and could communicate to us through blinking. Mick was a good friend of mine who I knew through our jobs as chefs. He had a good sense of humour and never let the disease get to him. On 20th April I will be taking part in white collar boxing to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association to continue to support families who have been affected by this awful disease. Any donations you wish to make to support the charity will be much appreciated and will defiantly help to spur me on through my training and the fight Thank You
