Gill and I did it and there were surprisingly no aches and pains the day after the event. We set off from home in Brighton at 3.30am and our bikes were then loaded onto the van and driven up to London. After a no show of the coach due to take us to London and some standing around in shorts in the bitter cold, we got taxis to Clapham Common and started the ride at 6.15am. We covered the 55 miles in 5 and a half hours, which by my reckoning equates to 1 mile every 6 minutes. It was a great experience and as at today, with your kind donations, I have raised £368.97. A huge thanks to all of you for your generousity.
