Torbay Holiday Helpers Network - Giving families with serious illness and bereavement memory making holidays ....

The charity’s major fundraiser - the City to Sea marathon and ultra-marathon - wasn’t able to take place this year - for obvious reasons - so I decided that I was going to try to run the route anyway, with a little help from my friends, and raise some much-needed funds for THHN. 

THHN was also chosen by this year’s Captain of Teignmouth Golf Club, Peter English (my other half) as his charity,  but due to COVID-19 fundraising opportunities have been limited. So, two birds with one stone .... 

Unfortunately almost as soon as I’d decided to undertake this running challenge I suffered an injury (resulting from working from home  for months on a laptop!) - and then another! - and I only got back to running in October. Although I’m no stranger to marathon running, I haven’t run one this year (yet) so this will be quite a challenge - and one particular section of the route on the South West Coast Path will be very testing!!
