Isle of Man Parish Walk · 20 June 2015

Hospice Isle of Man was founded in 1983, & since that time we have card for thousands of patients, and those that matter to them. We deliver all of our services completely free of charge. We need to fundraise over £5.5 million this year, in order to meet our anticipated £7.1 million running costs

Story

As an old bird I thought it would be good to challenge myself to the 52.5 miles of an 85 mile event.  I completed Peel 32 miles 8 years ago, so time to go all out and we will see how far I get.  Raising funds for Hospice, Isle of Man is also important.  This charity touches everyone's life in the island at our saddest moments.  They have to raise some 3.5M per year and if I can do a little to help that then however far I walk will be worthwhile.  I do hope that you will help me achieve this.  As you will all know I'm a fairly determined person but I'm sure knowing that I will be raising funds to help others will give me that extra determination that I'm told I will need when I hit a number of 'I feel like giving up' moments.  Pennies make pounds and pounds make thousands, so any small amount you can donate will be very, very gratefully received.  If you would like to check out hospice then please just go to their website at hospice iom.
