Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running for three reasons...a) to tackle weight gain from travelling b) to get a tick in another box and c) most importantly to collect some sponsorship money for a well deserved charity.

Those close to us will know that for the past seven years we have spent every day worrying about whether our son will breathe in or eat something that could potentially kill him.  Those close to us will know we spend hours checking ingredients on all food packaging and verifying all ingredients in every restaurant we visit. 

I cannot explain the guilt you feel when your child cannot understand why he's the only child at a party that can't have chocolate or pizza. Or have an ice cream on holiday.

I cannot explain the feeling when your child reacts to something you have given him and you realise he can't breathe properly.

There is never a day passes when I wonder why Alfie? What did I do wrong in my pregnancy? Why is he still suffering and why will he suffer his whole life?

At 8 weeks old his hospital visits started. Severe skin issues, weight loss and sickness confirmed anaphylactic dairy and egg allergies. At 4 months old, Grandma kissed her grandson on the lips after eating a biscuit causing another reaction which confirmed he was also anaphylactic to all eight nuts.  He has started to grow out of the egg, slowly the dairy but never the nuts. Simple things like visiting a Chinese or Indian restaurant will be a life threatening risk always. In addition, Alfie's also asthmatic 😞:(

It should not be this hard.  Families should not have to go through this. More research is needed to combat this hence my sponsorship will go to this worthy cause.  Please help me :)
