Refugee Crisis - Emergency Appeal

Refugee Crisis - Emergency Appeal · 30 September 2015
Imagine being pregnant and attempting to cross a border in a strange country. Imagine you were a child – or imagine your child - trying to enter a foreign place unaccompanied, desperately hungry with no place to call home.
The nights are cold and rainy. There is no access to shelter and very little food or water. You gather around an open fire in a cold, rain-soaked field. You sleep, leaning against a wall.
This is the plight of many refugees escaping horrendous conditions in their homelands, including pregnant women and orphaned children who are among the migrants and refugees arriving in Macedonia, hoping to cross the border into Serbia. They are suffering terribly and desperately need our help.
We have all seen the traumatic images of baby Aylan Kurdi swept on the beach shore, this beautiful child's eternal sleep has woken up humanity and now we must respond.
