This Pets at Home team has started from one person in the Support Adoption For Pets charity team suggesting they "just fancy running a 10k this year" to over 120 colleagues across Pets at Home stores, Support Office, the Vets Group and friends and family taking part in the BUPA Manchester 10k, the biggest 10k event in Europe all in aid of Support Adoption For Pets. 

Pets at Home have entered a team to take part in the Business Challenge, with a 100+ strong team – all money raised by these colleagues will go to Support Adoption For Pets, the independent charity established and still supported by Pets at Home. If you’ve ever paid a visit to a Pets at Home store I’m sure you’ll have noticed that amongst the green there is also a pink presence – whether that is in our small furry adoption centres, which saw over 60,000 pets find a warm and happy home or when Pets at Home store colleagues are fundraising for Support Adoption For Pets during our national fundraising drives.

Support Adoption For Pets is dedicated to helping pets in both its own adoption centres within Pets at Home stores and rescue and rehoming centres across the UK find loving forever homes. In 2013 Support Adoption For Pets awarded over £1.9 million in grants to over 550 different rescue centres on both a local and national level.

 

Our target is for each member of the team to raise a minimum of £50 for Support Adoption For Pets so if you would like to sponsor one runner in particular to help them reach their target please state the name of who you are supporting on your donation. As well as raising funds for a fantastic charity, this is just as much about having fun as a team and taking part in the first Support Adoption For Pets team fundraising event!
