I have been the Chairperson leading the Development Campaign at St Nicholas for the last three years and I'm delighted with what we've achieved and the generous way people have responded to our cause.

We want to create a church for the 21st century.  

We have installed LED lighting to cut energy costs, built toilets and a small kitchen in the church to make it a more useful community facility. We've built a new vestry and archive space and are about to replace the boiler to guarantee a warm church in the winter - not something we had all the time last winter.

Our last, and largest, project is to repair the external stonework so that this historic church can be preserved for future generations. The sponsored walk is our first fundraising event for this project. We need to raise about £500,000, so I'd be very grateful if you could support me.
