In memory of Ronan Costello
Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit #RC13 Just Giving page, raising funds in Ronan Costello's name for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. We are all nervous doing this challenge on the 7th July but Ronan will be flying with us .
Ronan touched the hearts of all he met; he was a 17 year old lad who loved making people smile, gentle, respectful, caring, funny and loyal. A credit to his family, a fantastic friend and a dedicated and talented rugby player.
Sadly on the 11th June 2016, Ronan sustained an injury in a tragic accident on the rugby pitch during a Huddersfield Giants Academy under 19's game. The severity of his injury meant the air ambulance was called to transport Ronan to the LGI hospital in Leeds. The crew stabilised Ronan on the pitch and in the air whilst taking him to the LGI. Sadly as a result of his injury Ronan passed away peacefully on the 14th June surrounded by his family and friends.
Ronan went on to save five lives when his family honoured his wish and allowed some of his organs to be donated. Please donate and help us potentially save more lives in Ronan's name #RC13/Yorkshire Air Ambulance . Thank you Susan, Siobhan and Tina xx
