Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many of you know that my dear Dad was diagnosed with leukaemia in October 2012. He undertook three rounds of intensive chemotherapy, miraculously survived intensive care and is currently in remission. As a family we recognise just how blessed we are to have him with us today.
We are truly indebted to Dr Grace ,Dr Weston-Smith and all the nursing staff at the Eastbourne District General Hospital and The Conquest Hospital in Hastings for the care and love shown to all of us. Most importantly, we thank the nurse who insisted that my dad's blood was tested initially. Her thorough approach ensured he received treatment quickly. To everyone who supported and continue to support us with their love and prayers - thank you:-) You will never know how much that meant and means to us.
When I told him yesterday that I was going to run a 10km, he asked me if he could do it with me! Bless my dear dad. He loves exercise and wants to do his bit to show how grateful he is, and hopefully inspire other cancer sufferers to embrace life to the full. I am running on Father's Day.
There are so many people who are undergoing treatment for this disease: people in my school; in my church, in my local community and in my family.
With love and thanks,
Sxxx
