We have an iconic Bell Tower.. to conserve, renovate and preserve.

Story

Susan Mary Sharratt, Sue, sadly died on Saturday 6th November after a short illness.

For many years Great Bourton was Susan’s  home, with Sue’s dear sister Heather Clews and family she adored, and she had many fond memories of her time here.

All Saints was her spiritual home then, and will be her final home now. She will be laid to rest in the churchyard, surrounded by other members of her loving family.

In memory of Susan, her family invite donations to be made to support the All Saints Bell Tower Conservation Project.

Susan will have liked the fact that she had made a difference to a project that mattered to her family, as well as her.  She had a generous nature and kindness of spirit.  She was proud of her family connections to All Saints - as conservation architects, as worshippers, as friends.  Susan’s strong faith gave her great comfort throughout her life and she enjoyed attending services at All Saints and was a regular at Cafe Church.  It seems a fitting tribute, therefore, to remember her this way.

The Bell Tower Conservation Project is hoping to restore this unusual building, originally built in memory of a loved one.  How appropriate therefore to support its conservation in memory of Susan, our loved one.
