We've celebrated our Silver Wedding extensively already, with a lovely weekend in Oxford, and a brilliant party with family and friends.

We also wanted to do something a bit more active! As many of you know, we are keen walkers, so we thought we'd go on a long walk on Saturday 3 October. The exact route is yet to be confirmed, but it will be likely to follow the course of the River Lea. All are welcome to join us for all or part of the 25k (15.5 miles).

Most importantly, we're keen to raise as much money as we can for the Samaritans of Waltham Forest, where Susanna is a volunteer. Samaritans offers a confidential, non-judgmental listening service for anyone who needs to talk about issues ranging from loneliness to stress to bereavement to suicidal feelings. All branches of Samaritans rely on fundraising to cover the costs of the work that they do, so we would be grateful for any donations!
