Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thank you to all my friends and family for putting up with me whilst training to do these events especially everyone at the Village Cheadle Running Club. I must be driving everyone mad with my constant talk of running times and blisters!!!

I did my first charity event last year for The Christie at the 2009 Walk of Hope which was a great event and one I will be completing again this year.

This year I have decided to do a little more and decided to do The Wilmslow Half Marathon on March 28th, The Bupa Great Manchester Run on May 16th and recently registered for the Abersoch 10k in the Summer definitely going mad!!

News Update - Well it is now the 1st April and I am just about recovered from the Half Marathon!! I felt like I had been hit by a truck my poor aching muscles but it was well worth the training and pain. I did the race in 2 hours and 28 minutes. Thank you to Julie and her family for all your support and looking after me on the day - and well done to you Julie on your time. Also thanks to all my friends at the Village Cheadle yes thanks Mike!!!!

Well its Monday the 17th of May and I survived my first Great Manchester Run, did it in 60 minutes would have been a little less if we hadn't stopped off at the Portaloo!! too much Powerade! Alls well and no injuries and aches today which is great. Onwards and upwards for Abersoch training!!.

Why The Christie? - For those who did not know this where my mum was looked after when she was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour. The Christie is a fantastic place and really helped my mum when she needed it most. I imagine she will be looking down and wondering why I am pounding the streets instead of sat with a glass of vino with the girls!!

This is my way of thanking The Christie and giving a little back which will hopefully help with research and development towards a future without cancer.
