Story

I’m doing ‘Go sober for October’ to raise funds for a small charity called NGAGE.  They focus on helping kids who are at risk of being socially excluded and have managed to turn around the direction of some of these kids lives.  In addition, they provide somewhere safe for these kids to go.  If you’re lucky like I was, growing up we always had somewhere to go to play/chill out/engage in sports whereas these days, places like this are becoming more and more obsolete.

NGage help teenagers/children in the local community by offering :

Youth Drop In · Youth Advisors Panel · Homework clubs · Community cafe ·  Craft sessions · Offices · Internet Cafe · Counselling rooms · Advice/Guidance services · Business Support · Back to work
support · Training/meeting rooms · Mediation rooms · Family contact rooms · Apprenticeships and qualifications.

As anyone who knows me I enjoy my wine on the weekends so going sober for October will be a massive achievement for me!  Please help me to raise money for this fabulous charity.

N-Gage aims to inform and educate young people to enable them to make right choices and reach their full potential. We also aim to give young people the tools they need to work well within their local communities and schools and teach them the benefit of positive behaviour. We work primarily with young people who are at risk of exclusion from school and also those who are involved in anti social activities. We run School Inclusion Programmes, Community Action events and Detached Youth Work Programmes.
