For some inexplicable reason earlier this year I agreed to do the London Triathlon with my brother, and of all the stupid things we chose the olympic distance.  This entails a 1500m open water swim (in what can only be described as an unforgiving wetsuit, trying desperately not to swallow any nasty Thames water) followed by a 40km cycle and then a 10km run.  My brother is his wisdom has pulled out and taken with him my only chance of not coming last ;-) So now it's more important than ever that you sponsor me and make this humiliation worthwhile!

Why this charity?  Well, unfortunately Martin's dad, Derek, passed away earlier this year but the staff at the Princess Alice Hospice did a wonderful job of looking after him in his final weeks and providing support for the rest of the family. The hospice relies on donations to continue its good work so please help me raise as much money as possible.
