Those of you who know me will be aware the Great North Run is my favourite race of the year- which (as you can see from the photo from the 2017 event) I am lucky enough to run with my Dad  

This year, as well as the enjoyment I get from the race, I wanted to fundraise and chose Scope, a charity that exists to make this country a place where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else. Around 7% of children in the UK are disabled, which means roughly 900,000 children and families who need Scope's support. Scope offers holistic support and information for parents to tackle and reduce the negative emotional and financial strain experienced by families of disabled children.
