Walk the 38 · 28 July 2012
Info:
Arriva London and Maggie’s have come together to encourage everyone to ‘Walk the 38’ in 2012, in celebration of the route’s centenary and in order to raise money for Maggie’s.
Between 1 May and 14 September 2012 you I will be joining 2,000 people walking the iconic 38 bus route from Clapton Pond to Victoria. I will be walking with my Dad and brother, and to make it harder will be pushing Sam in his mega buggy!
Maggie’s Centres provides emotional and practical support to people living with cancer. We provide this support out of beautifully designed cancer support centres all over the UK, including a centre at Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, and through a ground-breaking online cancer centre. Our ambition is to make sure that every single person affected by cancer has access to the support they provide, and you are making this possible by joining us and taking on the challenge of Walk the 38.
We have been asked to raise at least £38 for the charity through sponsorship of your challenge. As well as being the route number, it costs Maggie’s around £38 every time someone walks through their door, so by taking on this challenge you are helping our quest to change the life of a person with cancer.
