Variety, the Children's Charity, is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are disabled or disadvantaged. Our objective is to increase their independence, level of confidence and self esteem. We also aim to improve physical health allowing them to spend more time with friends & family.

Story

Hello lovely people. Thank you for making it this far.  The details are:

Me and Jess are going to be swimming in five swimming pools along the Northern Line on Saturday 1st December 2012 to raise money for a children's charity that does some really great work for children accross the country

Following our favourite route, Morden to High Barnet via Charing Cross (sorry Edgeware fans)  the pools will be:

Morden Park Pool

Clapham Manor Baths (where we learnt to swim!)

Tottenham Court Rd YMCA

Kentish Town Leisure Centre

Queen Elizabeth Sporst Centre, High Barnet

We will be attempting to do a mimimum 20 lenghts per pool, then jumping out, drying off and getting on the tube to the next pool.

You can follow the progress live on twitter at @jwaltermace, and we will be supported along the way by lovely family and friends providing energy drinks, talcolm powder and songs to keep us going.

The money will be going to help provide trained entertainers for kids in hospitals. A really great service that makes the time kids spend in hospital much more bareable and fun.

So in summary Swim The Northern Line combines  our favourite hobby with our favourite tube line for one of our favourite cause's.

So please dig deep or even deepish and thank you in advance for your support.

And now the dull but important bit...
