Following the eruption of the crisis in Syria on the 15th of March 2011, more than 15000 people have lost their lives, tens of thousands have been injured, and over 20,000 refugees have fled to the neighbouring countries of Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan; in addition to thousands of internally displaced people.
