Jake's Big Hair Cut · 10 June 2016

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

This is Jake our youngest son, two years ago aged just 8 Jake made the decision that he would embark on a journey to let his hair grow in the aid of being able to eventually have it cut and be used to create a hair piece for a child suffering with cancer.

Jake has for want of a better word has put up with alsorts being thrown at him, name calling, lack of unserstanding by people and constantly being mistaken for a girl yet he has never complained and always smiled as he carried on. We as a family can not even begin to express how emensly proud we are of him for making this selfless monumentus decision at such a young age.

Very soon with the help of our dear friend Claire Alcorn @cisoria Jake will be having his hair cut off so that he can send this to the Little Princess Trust for them to create a hair piece with his hair. The cost of making one of these pieces is £350. Already Jake has been campaigning to raise this amount so that he can not only donated his hair but can pay for it also.

We would like to get that amount a bit higher so that we can help towards another hair piece being made this is where you as our friends and family can help! everyone has been affected or knows someone who has been affected by this wicked disease, and the loss of hair through treatment can be just a devistating as the the illness itself. Any donation big or small will help our little boy complete this long 2 year journey. Thank you x
