Yorkshire Cancer Centre supports the work at St James Hospital in Leeds, by reputation the best in Europe. TA! (Team Anna)  is made up of a group of Bob Varley, daughter Kate, son NIck, friends & colleagues from Joshua Thomas Construction Ltd.

26/05/15 Update

Only a few days to go to the event and probably not enough training done, we do though have a couple of extra walkers joining us. John Holmes of Joshua Thomas Construction Ltd and Kate's mate Zoe Barry, are both joining in. They must be daft! 

With donations still rolling and quite a few pledges made we are looking for quite a total, if you take the current figure, add Gift Aid and the cash the walkers themselves have given to participate it makes it even better.

08/06/15 Update
We did it! Well almost.
After battling through 50+mph winds over the tops we actually did just under 19 miles but most of the team plus others have undertaken to go back, when is sunny and warm to complete the walk.

As most people will know Anna passed away peacefully at home last Monday 01/06/15 with myself, Katy and Nicholas by her side. After an enormous struggle over the last few weeks she left us as she wanted, at home with family. We are so very proud of her; and think she would be proud of us, TeamAnna, for doing what we have done and raising far more than we expected. There is still a few pledges & donations to come in but we have far exceeded any expectations Anna and myself had when this crazy idea was thought up.

Again an enormous thank you to all, walkers and detonators.
