TF Restaurants are big supports of Ronald McDonald House Charities, a charity which provides a ' home away from home' and support for families with seriously ill children in hospital.

Having a sick child in hospital far from home is an incredibly stressful time.  For the parents it is critical to spend each minute possible with their ill son or daughter and help them through this frightening trauma.  Even if this means travelling to and from home to the hospital each and every day, sleeping in chairs, corridors or cars or paying vast sums for hotels to be near the hospital.

This is where Ronald McDonald House Charities steps in. Families are able to stay in their Houses moments away for as long as their child is in hospital, which can sometimes be months or even years. Not only do they offer somewhere for families to sleep, but they also take away the worry of where to cook, do washing, or look after other children - they give families a piece of normality, a home, when their worlds have been turned upside down.

We, as a team, are taking on a dragon boat challenge - at least 3 races across a 250m course in a traditional dragon boat (with one of the team beating a drum to dictate the pace!)
