You know us personally as Nikki, Sharon, Thenral and Jess but together we are 4SW (4 Strong Woman) representing woman all over the world who are independent, strong, sassy and dependable.

Jess, Nikki and I decided to enter the Parish Walk after being inspired by walkers at last year's event, we were delighted when Sharon, a seasoned Parish walker joined our team.

As a team, all four of us have been touched by Cancer in some way. Sharon's father is currently fighting this cruel disease, Nikki's mum and brother are both survivors, Jess has lost her father and Aunt in early childhood. I have lost close family members in the last couple of years  to cancer. I have been dealing with families  affected by cancer at work. So when it came to choosing a charity it really was a no brainer. Manx Cancer Help are an amazing local charity that offer support and guidance to those affected by cancer along with their families.

The Parish Walk is no mean feat , 86 miles of difficult Manx terrain , walked over a period of 24 hours. Our feet are going to be destroyed but knowing we are walking for such an amazing cause is sure to keep us all going strong. So please dig deep and give whatever you can to this worthy charity, we would all be eternally grateful.
