Thanks for taking the time to visit our just giving page
On Monday 09 September 6 colleagues from the newly formed TSB Bank will each be running or cycling 27.4 miles around Edinburgh visiting our local TSB branches to raise money for The Edinburgh Sick Kids Hospital.
Gamma Camera
The Sick Kids Friends Foundation (SKFF) is launching an appeal to raise £550,000 to purchase Scotland’s first state-of-the-art Gamma/CT Camera to help children across the country suffering from life-threatening conditions including cancer and epilepsy.
The charity plans to replace the current machine which was purchased 13 years ago by the Foundation and has since been used for approximately 6,000 procedures.
Rapid technological improvements in the past five years have spurred dramatic breakthroughs in the equipment’s clarity, image quality and accuracy. Now, oncology and neurology patients can have diagnostic tests with much greater accuracy when pinpointing tumours and the machine is able to hone in on areas of specific interest. SKFF is calling on fundraisers and volunteers across the country to help them reach the target to allow them to purchase the life-saving equipment, which will be the first of its kind to be implemented in a children’s hospital in this country
We all believe this is a great opportunity to raise funds for a local charity.
Any donation, no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.
On behalf of Ewen Burgess, Barry Nelson, Martin Yeoman, Barry Hughes, Ewan Rusack and Kevin Miller, thank you in advance for your support and donations
