Story
Background
The current situation in Gaza is not historic but man-made. Israel’s political policies have caused economic stagnation and development. In 2012 with imminent elections looming Israel has invaded Gaza yet again. This latest offensive has put immense pressure on the medical facilities of the Gaza Strip. No words can describe the level of carnage, horror, fear, anxiety and the state of defenselessness of a people living in an area the size of Wandsworth borough. This densely populated area has had over 1, 350 targets hit by Israeli jets and there may possibly be an imminent land invasion of 75 000 Israeli troops. According to official figures there are 161 dead and countless wounded. Many of these victims are children.
