The BHS' 2021 Charity Races raise funds for the vital work of the charity. To help raise funds for the BHS, I have opted to take up the reins to compete in one of two charity races at Newbury and Wetherby. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and offers me the chance to be in the thick of it as we head to the starting line and race eight furlongs around a famous race course. I will be racing at Wetherby Racecourse on the 29th October 2021. I will be providing regular updates on my instagram page @tabbytakesthebit

I will be specifically raising money for the BHS fundraising appeal of Changing Lives Through Horses. The appeal aims to improve the lives of disengaged young people and give them the opportunity to develop skills that enable them to return to education and/or employment. It enables young people to reconnect with society. 

10.9% of 16-24 year olds and 3.5% of 16-17 year olds in the UK aren't in education, employment or training. 1 in 10 children have a diagnosable mental health disorder as do 1 in 5 young adults. This appeal is aimed at reaching these age groups at a critical point in their lives.
