The UN has warned it could take days for the full impact of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti to emerge, as the death toll soars to more than 1000 dead, many still uncounted for, 28,000 homes damaged or destroyed, over 60,000 seeking refuge in shelters, 6 of 15 hospitals inoperable and an estimated 1,410,907 people that are in need of humanitarian assistance.
These are a people that live in immense poverty and are still recovering from the catastrophic earthquake in 2010.
Cholera is a major fear, with several deaths reported, as are food supplies. Human Appeal have sent an emergency relief team to respond to the hurricane and deliver aid to the victims of the disaster.
Please donate generously and support Human Appeal's emergency aid work to help save lives.
