Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hello, My name is Tajinder & in 2013 I was admitted in to RNOH. When i arrived there i was 6 stone with 33 stitches and Metal Screws and Bolts holding me together in my back, and a large metal xafix in my right leg allowing my foot to stay upright after i totally shattered it, dislocating it at the joint to my leg. A Spinal Cord Injury Survivor Level T12-L1 (December 2012). When admitted into Stanmore Hospital in January 2013 my referral notes from Kings College Hospital stated i would never walk again, in-fact i only had a 3% chance if any, and as i was unable to stay awake for more then 5 minutes at any time, I would say i had a very low percentage of surviving at all. Whilst in Stanmore, i was diagnosed as an Asia A Complete. As a result to this news I then attempted to take my own life, and i was placed onto a 24 hour watch by nurses working day and night to keep me positive and alive, supporting me thou my prognoses & diagnoses, i then stayed with Stanmore RNOH for 9 months as i was effectively homeless as my flat for the past 20 years is based on the first floor, and too small too allow the adaptation of a stair lift, NOTE: All admissions receive 3 months as a rule & as should i have, however due to the great support, care & nursing, alongside fantastic Physiotherapy, OT Staff, The Orthotic's Department & Urology Department, not to mention with the full access to Mind blowing equipment and swimming facilities I continued to PUSH...to stay motivated and stay positive with the belief that i shall walk again, and after 275 days, equalling to 6600 hours of this Life Changing Care support and push with positive attitude i walked out of Stanmore hospital on the 1st September 2013 with a Walking Frame & with AFO's alongside Family and Friends- (and a lot of upper body strength #lol). Today is my chance to Give Back to the RNOHospital by asking you all to come along and support me in my 1 Mile Walk with the ButterCupWalk in Stanmore in June 2016, i have not yet achieved this to-date and will be spending every minute of every day to conquer this achievement with the aim to inspire to aspire. To follow my working Progression leading up to the date of the walk please add me on instagram @b2x_map (Sponsoring Company Page) All footage after the walk will also be on the intsagram page for those of you that can not be there with me but may wish to sponsor me on this walk to raise money for this Amazing Hospital with Amazing people.
