Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and 3 colleagues are taking part in a 55km walk in the Wye Valley, which is on the boarder of England/Wales.  We will walk from Chepstow, through woodlands to the Limestone cliffs of the Wye Valley gorge, then along a riverside path finishing in the town of Ross-on-Wye. Our Target is to walk this in 12 hours and we will be taking on this challenge on the 11thAugust 18.  The link below gives more details about the walk and what we have let ourselves in for:

This is why I am walking: Juvenile Batten Disease is one form of rare inherited disorders affecting the nervous system. Beginning in childhood, it causes rapid vision loss, seizures, thinking difficulties, loss of speech, loss of movement and premature death. (see http://www.bdfa-uk.org.uk/about-batten-disease/)

I am walking to raise money for the family association as I worked with Annabelle and Robbie's dad.

"Annabelle and Robbie’s fight against Juvenile Batten Disease (CLN3). Our family quest is to give them the best possible life, to focus on fund raising and support of research in medicines that can help them and other children facing this disease"

Thank you for any support you are able to provide.
