It's hard to believe that it's been just over 5 years since we lost our beautiful son Vinnie.  We've had a lot of time to reflect on the past, including the time that Vinnie spent on the TYA ward in Southampton Hospital.

I remember sitting with Vinnie one day and a facebook post popped up from CLIC Sargent, it was about a challenge walking the Great Wall of China to raise money for them.  Vinnie and I talked about it and said that one day we would do the challenge together to help raise money for this amazing charity.

Since losing Vinnie, my husband and myself have raised money for the TYA unit in Southampton Hospital, have helped to open 2 new TYA rooms in our local Poole Hospital and have raised money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.   

Now it's time for us to help CLIC Sargent.  From the very first day Vinnie was diagnosed with Leukaemia, they were there, offering help and support in any way they could.  Without CLIC Sargent, I know that Vinnie's journey would have been a lot tougher and I know that Carl and I wouldn't have managed so well without their support.  

So Vinnie .... this is for you my darling (I hope you will still be walking by my side), for our TYA Stars and for everybody who is receiving help or may need help in the future from this amazing charity.
