Story

My charities

As I could not choose between them, I have decided to support two charities both close to my heart; Help for Heroes and Cancer Research UK. This website does not allow me to divide the money raised between two charities, so I've set up two pages, one for each charity. Please donate to either one or t'other, or a little to each. This is the page for Cancer Research UK. The page for Help for Heroes is https://www.justgiving.com/Tanya-Stafford-Jones-helpforheroes .... please keep reading (click 'Read more of my story' below)

The challenge

Usually regarded as the greatest backpacking challenge in the UK, the Cape Wrath Trail is an unofficial unmarked route from Fort William to Cape Wrath, the most north westerly point of mainland Scotland. I'm planning on spending about 3 weeks on this little bimble, covering about 200 miles, sleeping on the hills, and to add to the challenge, I'm going on my own :) I will be leaving as soon as I'm organised, and no later than the 20th of October.

Why, you say?

It's been a sad few years, and I shall be walking in memory of Grandad Glyn, Grandma Joy, Grandpa Joe, Auntie Dossie and Robin Nicholson. I miss you all so much.

I am also walking for friends still fighting, be it cancer or war. Stay strong.
