Thank you for taking the time to visit my page, my name is Tara, I’m 24 and from Kent!

I’m currently a student at the University of Greenwich, studying a BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science. When I’m not at university, I’m either working, at home with my head in the books, trying to keep fit… trying to, the key words, or socialising with the wonderful group of friends that I have!

So, on the 3rd August 2019, I will be braving it and doing a Charity Tandem Skydive! I will be doing this to raise money for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, which is a life-saving charity and a charity I admire hugely! The Air Ambulance carries a specialist doctor and critical care paramedic who can carry out advanced medical procedures at the scene, giving patients the best possible chance and quality of survival. The medics take to the scene the type of expertise and equipment normally found only in the resuscitation area of a hospital’s emergency department and can fly patients to the most appropriate hospital according to their needs, which is often the major trauma centres in London.

These doctors, paramedics, pilots and other important members of staff who play a key role in supporting the Air Ambulance do an unbelievable job. It costs over £6 million a year to keep both helicopters flying and the charity relies almost entirely on the donations that it receives – every little really does help.
