As part of my teacher training at The University of Brighton, i have been fortunate enough to join the Football for Peace team. Football for Peace is an international charity, run by the University, that aims to unite conflicted communities through sport and values based teaching.The charity has facilitated the participation of over 8,000 children since its establishment in 2001. 

I will be travelling to The Gambia in December, alongside the F4P team, to teach values-based football/ruby sessions to children from underprivileged areas of Africa. I am grateful for the opportunity to help build awareness of the positive impacts of sport; through values including respect, trust, equality and teamwork. 

Volunteering in The Gambia will be an invaluable experience as a trainee teacher. However, it will also be a once in a life time opportunity that i am extremely excited to be a part of!

I would be very grateful for any donation to support such an amazing charity and help me get to The Gambia!
