This is a HUGE challenge!  I will be embarking on this mental adventure, away from all of my home comforts ( like my bed!) my 3-year-old son, Oliver and heading off to a country I don't know, with people I don't know! Aspiring to raise awareness and money for my chosen charity – Helen and Douglas House.

Mount Kilimanjaro is the world’s largest free-standing mountain - in Tanzania, Africa. It will take 4 days to reach the Summit across the 5 unique eco-systems including alpine desert, jungle and  plummeting temperatures at -20 degrees!

Helen and Douglas house provide end-of-life care for terminally ill children, young adults and support for their families. They really are a life line for families who are in the most heart-breaking positions but are still able to bring light and happiness to these brave families. It costs the charity £5.25M per year to fund the exceptional care they provide, mostly relying on donations.

It isn’t only physical, but mental and personal challenge too, so please be generous, dig deep and sponsor me! Your money will make such a huge difference and together, we can give the children and families at Helen and Douglas House the support they all deserve!
