People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments. Research is the only way to turn this hope into reality. Combining patient stories and scientific expertise, we fund projects that have a real impact, reducing side-effects, cutting treatment costs and ultimately improving outcomes.

Story

We’re the Directors of Taylor Wimpey East Anglia and we’re always up for a challenge!

In the past we’ve completed a charity trek in Suffolk, slept rough for the night, and even walked on burning embers to raise thousands of pounds for a host of good causes – but this year we’re really putting our fitness and stamina to the test!

We’re taking part in the Snowdon 500 Challenge, climbing Mount Snowdon in North Wales, which at 1,085m is the highest mountain in England and Wales.

Our team comprises Bryn Maidman, Mark Edmonds, Andrew Wilson, Rob Spittles, Barry Dean, Hayden Dolby and Stacy Dornan.

We know there will be blisters, aches and pains along the way, but the thought of raising money for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre, which is such a worthwhile cause, will be a fantastic motivation to keep us all going during the climb.

The event is on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May and we’ll be among 500 people from all over the UK who’ll converge on the small town of Llanberis with the aim of boosting the £750,000 this event has raised for prostate cancer research over the past five years.

So please dig as deep as you can, and sponsor us as we take on our biggest challenge to date!
