Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Friday 26 October, we are free-fall abseiling ArceloMittal Orbit, the UK's tallest sculpture and the UK's highest free-fall abseil, to raise money and awareness for St Mungo's.

As one of the leading charities helping homeless people in the UK, St Mungo’s is committed to enabling men and women to recover from both the causes and consequences of homelessness.  Every night, they provide beds to more than 2,700 people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.  As we know people need more than a roof over their head to permanently recover from homelessness so St Mungo’s work doesn’t stop there.  The charity has nearly 50 years’ experience in areas such as mental health, substance use, skills development and vocational training.

For the past three years Taylor Wimpey have supported their training delivery programme which is focused in the construction sector.  Our contribution has enabled St Mungo’s to run year-round courses in brick laying, tiling, kitchen fitting and plastering for people developing the skills to help them access permanent housing and the job market.
