Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 10th July 2011, my nephews Max & Freddie and I will be participating in the Tri for Life Triathlon, in memory of my Uncle Harvey Selby, who passed away in 2008. He dreamt up this amazing family event, Tri for Life, with a vision to widen the circle of support given to others, and to raise money for those in need. The inaugural event in 2009 raised over £140,000, and in its second year raised £260,000 (unfortunately a broken toe stopped me being able to participate!) but Team Gersh is back and this year we want to help the event to do even better!

It is so important to continue my uncle's vision and to this end we would be so grateful if you would support me and my nephews by sponsoring us for this triathlon - no matter how small the donation, every little helps! The money raised for Tri for Life goes to a number of different charities, including Rays of Sunshine, The Great Ormand Street Hospital charity, Whizz-Kids and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

JustGiving will send your donation straight to Tri for life (and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you’re a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more). Please visit www.triforlife.co.uk to find out about the event and chosen charities.

Thank you!
