As many of you know, our darling daughter hasn't had the easiest starts in life and sadly has an interstitial lung disease called Neuroendocrine Cell Hyperplasia of Infancy (NEHI). Sienna is an oxygen dependant child and has faced some massive struggles in her short life. The most recent one being in December 2015 when we almost lost her. Sienna was rushed into PICU with type 1 Respiratory Failure where she was ventilated for 8 days, placed in a coma and paralyzed whilst they fought to save her life. At one point Sienna was given just 1 hour to live but the amazing Doctors & Nurses never gave up on her and at one point with his bare hands, her consultant kept her alive for almost 3 hours whilst he worked out how best to fix her - they are all truly remarkable people.

Thankfully, Sienna has made a full recovery from what happened to her at Christmas however she is still a frequent visitor/resident of BCH and will be for many years to come.

We are therefore all running the Bristol Half Marathon in September to raise as much money as possible for this wonderful hospital and to say thank you to all of the lovely staff there that not only saved our baby girl but save many children every single week...................... myself and Alastair will be eternally in their debt.
