The Syringa Ward in Whipps Cross Hospital looks after elderly patients and is a multidisciplinary Medical Ward.

Under the leadership of Consultant Dr. Bijay Sinha and guidance of Ward Manager Emma Calderon the Award Winning Ward work tirelessly to help patients with their medical needs as well as support their friends and families. The Ward have a devoted team of Doctors and Nurses which has been recognised for high discharge and low readmission rates.

The Team will be joined on this run by the Choudhury Family whose father Mofizur Choudhury was an in-patient there during October 2019. The Syringa Team were dedicated in their exceptional care for him and the family will be running in his memory.

Team Syringa now want to raise money to buy equipment such as more comfortable chairs and a coffee machine to improve patient care, nurture the mental and physical well-being of inpatients and support the families and friends that come to visit their loved ones.
