We are Team One Step - Chris Riley and David Ash

In September 2016 we began a year of climbing mountains and fundraising with our sights set on Kilimanjaro in September 2017.

We set a target to raise £1 for every foot of Kilimanjaro before we left - £19,341

We did this  to raise money in the fight against Cancer.  We as a 2 man team have been affected by cancer far too many times losing both Family & Friends to it. 

We wanted to make a change to that...we wanted to fight it...One Step, One penny, one pound at a time!

We left for this epic challenge on Wednesday 6th September 2017

By then, you wonderful wonderful people had smashed through that target, and the total hit £22,503.00 Staggering. humbling. Inspiring.

During the evening of Sunday 10th September, at a height of 14.500 feet we received a satellite phone call to tell us that our Mum/Grandma was critically ill, and possibly about to die. We left our dream and came home... there really was no decision to make.

She is near 100% recovered, and for that we are eternally grateful.

We at One Step don't do unfinished business. We keep going... we don't stop.

On 9th September 2018 we left once more for Kilimanjaro. Having done half the job last time, we set our target at 1.5 times the height of Kili in feet - £29,011.50!!

You lovely people had raised over £30,000 at the point we left!!! A week later, in the early hours of Sumday 16th September,  we made it... all the way to the rooftop of Africa!!

Let's save more lives, it's as simple as that!!
