At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As many of you may know both Nick and Olivia have close family relations who have lived or are living with dementia related problems. We have therefore decided that we will both celebrate 'significant birthdays', which have a combined total of 85 years - Nick will leave you to do the maths! - by running the 2017 London Marathon and using our efforts to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

Dementia needs no introduction. It is horrible, both for the sufferer and friends and family who see the person they knew and loved drift away.

Please do all you can to help, though clearly we accept that some people already give a lot to charitable causes or have other priorities. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks so much to everyone.

Much love and thanks,

Nick and Liv xxx
