Chickenshed is a children's charity and theatre company founded in 1974. We nurture and empower children and young people from diverse backgrounds through our education courses, workshops and shows. Over 60% of the young people we reach experience isolation due to disadvantage.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last year, when Matthew Lyons completed the 100 miles of the Prudential Ride London-Surrey100 course he said put the call out that he'd do it again but only with the support of a Chickenshed peloton. That call was heard and over the winter months members of Chickenshed staff and parents of Chickenshed participants and members began dusting off their bikes, oiling their chains and pumping up their tyres.

Training has begun and an eight strong team will be cycling for Chickenshed on Sunday 31st July.

Matthew will be joined by a team made up of staff members, Daniel Banton, Antonia Jater and Robin Shillinglaw and parents of Children's Theatre members and Holiday Shed participants, Kirsty Brockwell, Ravi Malhotra, Simon Purrier and Noah Turner.

We are aiming to raise £4,000 to support Chickenshed to reach even more children and young people who would not otherwise be able to access life-changing performing arts opportunities.

Thank you in advance for your support.
