Our first year was inspired by our friend Sheila who was receiving treatment, she supported us greatly into the second year as well. Sadly she has since passed away but she's certainly not forgotten, a fantastic lady who fought a brave battle. This is our third year, for Sheila's memory and also the memory of another lovely lady, Margaret who was on our team for the 2 years so far but sadly has also passed away after a battle with this disease, another fantastic lady. A very close friend of Marie and Heather has also been recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer a lovely lady called Joan, sadly there was limited treatment because of its rarity and she had a short battle with the terrible disease.  All of us on the team also have other members of family/friends that have their own story with a form of the disease. 

Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
